Obituary

Roger Allen Salts (Chipper)
May 20, 1952 - February 9, 2026

It is with the deepest sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our brother, Roger Allen Salts (Chipper), who passed away peacefully in the presence of his big brother and little sister on February 9, 2026, at the age of 73. Chipper pursued a dedicated career as a shift technician for Dow, Provident and finally Pembina for 43 years. He spoke often of the deep respect and friendship he had with his cohorts there, especially Aaron, Stefos and Bobby. Even after his retirement they continued their escapades. There are so many to thank. You know who you are, and we thank you for your friendship and continued support. In retirement Chipper followed Formula 1 racing passionately, cruised on his Sea Ray with family and friends, and hobnobbed in his Z06 Corvette. He was a kind and generous soul who gave freely. He believed that you have not lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you. Chipper was preceded in death by his father, Sylvan (Speck) Salts 1984, his mother Wilhelmina (Willie) Salts (nee Evans) 2003. He is survived by his brother, Christopher (Jane) and his two daughters, Corry (Mike) and Jessica (Pete), his great niece Claire, his sister Melissa and many loved cousins. We wish to thank Dr's Stepniak, Lebert, Crombeen, Rn Willi Kirenko, the 2nd floor and 5th floor nurses at BWH and the team from Bayshore for their compassionate care and guidance through this difficult time. Chipper will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, kind nature and soft heart. Our happy memories of you will never fade. Aquamation has taken place. As per Chipper's request no services were held. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Chipper’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com.
